Dying Easter Eggs!

The hunters and their treasures!
The hunt is on!
Making sure the color gets done just right!
My mom got the older kids together to dye Easter eggs for a hunt. They all did really well and had some pretty eggs. On Easter Sunday we hid them all around the yard for them to find. It was a lot of fun to watch. Especially Erin as she tried to give all of her eggs away or hide them again! We finally convinced her to keep them in her basket.

On the positive side!
William and I like to go to raptureready.com and read the articles and news stories. While on the other day I was browsing the humor section. I thought this was a very positive way of looking at gas prices!
You Think A Gallon Of Gas Is Expensive? Here's the per gallon cost of some common items that should puts things in perspective:
Diet Snapple 16 oz $1.29 - $10.32 per gallon
Lipton Ice Tea 16 oz $1.19 - $9.52 per gallon
Gatorade 20 oz $1.59 - $10.17 per gallon
Ocean Spray 16 oz $1.25 $10.00 per gallon
Brake Fluid 12 oz $3.15 - $33.60 per gallon
Vick's Nyquil 6 oz $8.35 - $178.13 per gallon
Pepto Bismol 4 oz $3.85 - $123.20 per gallon
Whiteout 1 oz $1.39 - $177.94 per gallon
Scope 1.5 oz $0.99 - $84.48 per gallon
Evian water 9 oz $1.49 - $21.19 per gallon
Super Glue .07 oz $1.50 - $2,688.00 per gallon
....and the buyers don't even know the source. So, the next time you're at the pump, be glad your car doesn't run on Nyquil, whiteout, or super glues.

New Arrivals!

Tennessee fainting goats.
We were finally able to buy our first goats. Tristan also bought some so we have a total of 5 to take care of.
All 5 were cramped into this dog carrier for the trip home. Thankfully for them, it was only 5 miles away! Unfortuantly, they weren't as excited to be there as we were to have them. Already extremely nervous when the horses came over to inspect them they were off (well, the one they had let out). He bounced off the electric fence a few times and managed to escape. The guys found him down in the creek on Jap lane. Goats hate water so he came to a sudden stop when the water was almost as deep as he was tall. So the next few days were eventful-breaking the fence down again, herding them along with cattle, spending the night in an Amish cemetary, Feeling very disrespectful trying to catch them in the cemetary, and building a much more goat proof fence. All is well now. At least crossing my fingers. Goats are cunning and mischievious animals.....
