Overdue update!

8 months

7 months

For Uncle Chris and Aunt Julie

Yes, we are still around! We haven't gotten lost in the far reaches of the wilderness that is Tennessee. Due to technological issues with my computer and long hours of whining and complaining I have taken over William's computer! Well...I was allowed to upload my pictures as long as I didn't delete any of his stuff.

We have been keeping busy with life. Nicholas is getting big. He finally got his first tooth about 2 weeks ago. He has learned how to do the military crawl rather than actaully getting in his hands ands knees. So with his new found skills have come the joys of making sure everything that is not edible is off the floor!

William has been busy taking care of the Nicholas while I'm at work. He has become a very good "Mr. Mom"! He is such a great dad and I have been so blessed to have him as my husband. Even if he does forget to do a load of laundry on occasion!

The family gathered!

Dean and Matthew chatting.

Sideways picture of Daryl. Andrea and Justins little guy is 10 months old and very very busy. Happy little man too!

It was good to have my aunt Wendy, Uncle Bryan, Andrea, and Daryl with us for a week ( a few weeks ago). We all got together and had a cook out at Todd and Dawn's.

6 months!!

Our little boy is 6 months old already! How time flies! He is 14.6 lbs and 26in long. He rolls over and wiggles around. He's still working on sitting up. He holds his balance for a few seconds before tipping over. He even holds his own bottle (with a little help if he drops it). He's such a happy and goofy baby. I adore him so much and thank God every day for blessing me beyond all of my greatest dreams!

Spring Tornados and Good Food!

the biscuits got a bot toasty!

Mmmmm!

Mum keeping a sharp eye on the progress!

On the day that all of those tornadoes hit Murfreesboro we didn't have any drop in our area, but we did get some really bad storms and hail. The result was no power for a few hours! Unfortuantly we were all starving just as it went out! So we decided to be brave and start a fire in the pit outside (while it was still thundering and lightening. brave or stupid?). Right as we were gathering the stuff to bring out it downpoured rain and hail. Thankfully our fire managed to survive the elements and as soon as we were able we ventured outside and fried up some bacon, sausage, eggs, and biscuits! Tasted pretty good! (if I may say so myself) :)

Dying Easter Eggs!

The hunters and their treasures!

The hunt is on!

Making sure the color gets done just right!

I am way behind on updating this sooooo here we go!!
My mom got the older kids together to dye Easter eggs for a hunt. They all did really well and had some pretty eggs. On Easter Sunday we hid them all around the yard for them to find. It was a lot of fun to watch. Especially Erin as she tried to give all of her eggs away or hide them again! We finally convinced her to keep them in her basket.

On the positive side!

William and I like to go to raptureready.com and read the articles and news stories. While on the other day I was browsing the humor section. I thought this was a very positive way of looking at gas prices!

You Think A Gallon Of Gas Is Expensive? Here's the per gallon cost of some common items that should puts things in perspective:
Diet Snapple 16 oz $1.29 - $10.32 per gallon
Lipton Ice Tea 16 oz $1.19 - $9.52 per gallon
Gatorade 20 oz $1.59 - $10.17 per gallon
Ocean Spray 16 oz $1.25 $10.00 per gallon
Brake Fluid 12 oz $3.15 - $33.60 per gallon
Vick's Nyquil 6 oz $8.35 - $178.13 per gallon
Pepto Bismol 4 oz $3.85 - $123.20 per gallon
Whiteout 1 oz $1.39 - $177.94 per gallon
Scope 1.5 oz $0.99 - $84.48 per gallon
Evian water 9 oz $1.49 - $21.19 per gallon
Super Glue .07 oz $1.50 - $2,688.00 per gallon
....and the buyers don't even know the source. So, the next time you're at the pump, be glad your car doesn't run on Nyquil, whiteout, or super glues.

New Arrivals!

Tennessee fainting goats.
We were finally able to buy our first goats. Tristan also bought some so we have a total of 5 to take care of.

All 5 were cramped into this dog carrier for the trip home. Thankfully for them, it was only 5 miles away! Unfortuantly, they weren't as excited to be there as we were to have them. Already extremely nervous when the horses came over to inspect them they were off (well, the one they had let out). He bounced off the electric fence a few times and managed to escape. The guys found him down in the creek on Jap lane. Goats hate water so he came to a sudden stop when the water was almost as deep as he was tall. So the next few days were eventful-breaking the fence down again, herding them along with cattle, spending the night in an Amish cemetary, Feeling very disrespectful trying to catch them in the cemetary, and building a much more goat proof fence. All is well now. At least crossing my fingers. Goats are cunning and mischievious animals.....

Tristan with his first little goat. "Next time maybe you should wear chaps over your pants, huh, Tris!?" I tried to get a picture of William carrying his, but he also was having clothing issues.
